At Genesis Podiatry, we believe in transparent pricing and patient choice. We accept referrals from GPs, NDIS, Home Care (HCP), My Aged Care, WorkSafe, TAC, SWEP, and DVA providers. Bulk billing is available. Below is a guide to our standard in-person consultation fees:

• Initial Consultation: $80*

• Standard Follow-Up Consultation: $75*

*Additional charges may apply depending on the nature and complexity of the concern. Any additional fees will be discussed during your consultation, and you are under no obligation to proceed with any treatment or clinical recommendation.

 

For example:
A consultation involving biomechanical assessment (e.g. gait analysis, muscle testing, or sports injury management) may incur an additional $30 fee.

Private Health & Rebates

If you are a member of a private health fund with Podiatry cover, please bring your current health fund card. We offer on-the-spot claims processing via HICAPS at both our Templestowe and Footscray clinics.

How much do orthotics cost?

We offer several options to suit different needs and budgets:

• Prefabricated (up to $100): Standard off-the-shelf inserts for mild discomfort or general use. A quick, affordable option.

​

• Library ($250): Pre-made bases selected from a library of sizes, fine-tuned by a podiatrist for better fit and support. Great for mild to moderate issues.

​

• Semi-Custom ($460, includes consultation, biomechanical assessment, fitting consultation): Adjustable orthotics with features like arch support and heel cups. Designed to improve comfort and address biomechanical issues without full customization.

​

• Custom ($715–$880, includes consultation, biomechanical assessment, casting/3D scan and fitting consultation): Individually crafted for your feet. The gold standard for complex issues, posture and gait correction, long-term comfort, and performance.​

Bulk Billing

Bulk billing is available for patients who:

• Have a valid EPC/CDM Plan (Medicare)

• Hold a concession card (e.g. Pensioner, Health Care Card, DVA)

• Are under 16 years old

​

A $15 gap fee applies for care plan patients without a concession card.

To comply with Medicare, all documentation must be received before the appointment — backdated claims are not permitted.
